Individual Therapy

In our individual therapy sessions, we’ll identify patterns in your choices, mindset and relationships. We’ll explore how those patterns could be adjusted to better suit your goals and help you create a more meaningful life.

Group Therapy

Weekly group therapy provides the opportunity to build new skills, hear others’ perspectives and know you are not alone. Group sessions run for 6-10 weeks and focus on a specific theme such as religious trauma, mindfulness or resiliency.

Therapy

for OCD

Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy is the go-to evidence-based treatment for OCD. We’ll identify your unwanted thoughts (obsessions) that trigger anxiety and the behaviors (compulsions) you do to reduce that anxiety, and work to interrupt the cycle of OCD. The majority of ERP sessions are experience-based rather than talk therapy-based. The exact treatment structure and frequency will be tailored to your availability, symptom severity and individual needs. Read more about ERP here.

Types of Therapy Offered

Here are a few of the evidence-based forms of therapy that we’ll use to achieve your mental health needs and goals.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT is a mindfulness-based approach that involves learning psychological flexibility, building tolerance for uncomfortable thoughts and emotions, and identifying and living consistently with one’s values. ACT has been proven effective in treating depression, generalized anxiety and social anxiety. Sessions involve mindfulness, creativity and practicing new ways of responding to life’s challenges.

Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP)

ERP is one of the most effective treatments for Obsession-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). It involves mapping out the patterns between your distressing, intrusive thoughts (obsessions) and any responses you do to relieve the distress (compulsions). Sessions take place once or twice weekly and last for 90 minutes. Through using gradual exposure and disrupting these patterns, many people with OCD are able to reduce their anxiety levels and the regain the ability to live their lives without OCD getting in the way.

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a method of identifying one’s patterns of thought, feelings and actions. Sessions involve interrupting and replacing these patterns with more helpful thoughts and behaviors. CBT can help manage issues like performance anxiety, depression and stress.
